BAYER Serenade ASO is a powerful pesticide for treating many bacterial and fungal plant diseases. Its active ingredient is the soil bacteria strain Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (subtilis) QST 713. It has the ability to destroy fungal hyphae and prevent them from attaching to the leaves. Bacillus amyloliquefaciens stops pathogenic bacteria from entering and colonizing the plant. In the soil it acts as a competitor for food and space. It competes with the pathogens for nutrients and habitat.
