Description:
Yes, that's right – heide can be successfully grown from seed! This pink-hued variety usually grows no more than 30 cm tall, adding delicate color and texture to any garden. The young tips of the plant are used to produce yellow dye.
Sowing method:
- Period: Can be sown all year round in pots.
- Germination process: First, give the seeds warmth (18-22°C) for 2-4 weeks. Then place the pots in the refrigerator (+4°C) for 4-6 weeks to provide a cold period. Then return to room temperature and wait for germination to begin. Sprouts may appear unevenly over a longer period, so do not throw the seeds away too early.
- Planting outdoors: They can also be sown outdoors, leaving them in place during the winter, and germination will occur in the spring.
